snowflake cutout

My intention for this prompt was to cut snowflakes from paper, but once I got into it, it turned into something a little looser than that.

It became playing with scissors and paper by making folds and cuts in the paper and seeing what emerges.

I spent 20 minutes playing around and felt it would be fun for you to see just how loose this kind of play is for me so I filmed the session to share with you.

I got curious about different paper shapes and what would happen when I cut them in different ways.

I just generally played around.

None of the outcomes were anything to write home about and that wasn't my focus.

Instead I was practising letting go of outcomes and allowing my curiousity to fully take over, which was a joyful practise for me!

I find it so surprising to see what comes of the cuts once a piece of paper is unfolded! It gets me every time!

Ever the curious one, I sit around wondering how your experience of this prompt goes! Won’t you ease my curiousity by sharing that which arises for you in the comments below.
