building trust in your decisions
Are you someone who often looks to others for guidance? TheCottageFairy shared her personal struggle with trusting herself and looking to external sources to make decisions for her. I resonate with that sentiment and share about it in this scribbling video.

Today’s special scribbling activity starts by drawing a simple shape on your page.
It can be absolutely any random shape and it doesn’t have to be nameable like circle, triangle, square (although it could be!).
Once you have that first shape, colour it in. (The colouring can be neat and tidy, or scribbly, or a combination of both… whatever feels fun for you in the moment.)
Then draw another shape around the first one and colour it in.
Then a third shape around the first two, and so on… like your fitting a bunch of puzzle pieces together.
Once your practice feels complete, you’ll have created a larger shape by fitting all the smaller ones together. You can see how this works in the video.
Please know that I have no idea where each shape will take me. There is no plan when I get started. See if you can do that too… trusting the smaller shapes to take you on a journey that will reveal the larger shape when it’s ready.
I’m using pencil crayons and a sketchbook in the video but you could use markers or paint or pastels or crayons and absolutely any paper. Your paper could even be a cardboard box or the back of receipt. Many different supplies will work here so have some fun with it!
