body listening
I’m going to spend a day listening to my body. Or maybe it will be half a day. Or perhaps an hour. This is advanced practice for me so we'll see how it goes!
Making a game of it will be helpful.
My intention is to lay in savasana until my body asks something of me. When asked I will follow.
I’ll need to be very conscientious of my mind because it can be so sneaky in these scenarios. Popping in to share that my body needs this or that when really it’s just my mind thinking I need this or that. Part of the game will be to laugh at my mind when it chatters likes this.
Another part of the game will be to welcome arising discomfort as a treasured guest. As if discomfort is showing up at my door unexpectedly with an armful of light pink peonies wrapped in kraft paper and tied with jute twine.
I wonder what other things may arise and how I'll make a game out of them?
Will you join me in this quiet play? I’d love the company.
