share random kindness

I just ran into our neighbourhood letter carrier who was chatting with a colleague of hers.

She introduced us and her colleague flashed a knowing look in his eyes.

“Oh! You're the one with the creativity business! I've picked up your envelopes before.”

I smiled joyfully and said that yes indeed that was true.

The ask the colours shipping envelopes are a

work of art.

They exude happiness and it was such a joy to hear that they sparked enough curiousity in this man that he dug deeper into who was sending them out.

It made my day!!

He didn't have to share this with me, but he did and it was a kindness that continues to reverberate through my body.

Let's take inspiration from this kind man and share a positive sentiment with someone who might not know you feel a kindness about them.

It could be a neighbour who's garden you adore. Knock on their door… let them know.

Or an online writer who's work means something to you. Hit reply or comment and share how much their work means to you.

Perhaps a concierge (or waste collector or delivery person) is doing a really lovely job and you haven't shared how much you appreciate them recently. Take a minute to let them know how much they ease your day.

If you'd like to take this one step further you could send a playful postcard their way. Write the personal sentiment in the notes section when you order and I'll add your words as the joy message.

Ever the curious one, I sit around wondering how your experience of this prompt goes! Won’t you ease my curiousity by sharing that which arises for you in the comments below.
